I chose to blog about "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" because it is my favorite show to watch. It's one of those shows that I can watch over and over again and be eager to see the new episode. The show has an uncommon type of humor to it which is what really captures me. The episode, "Mac fights gay marriage", is the first episode to air on their new sixth season. The episode starts out with Mac seeing one of his ex companions, a really hot transvestite, at the gym and finds out he got his penis removed and she is now married to some big black guy. So Mac gets offense and embarrassed so he starts to try and oppose gay marriage. The whole episode was just hilarious they way they joked around with the whole situation. I feel like this episode was like a satire of gay marriage and sex changes which are pretty funny topics I'd say, no offense to gay people I'm down with gay marriage. Then it was hilarious how at the same time Mac was opposing gay marriage Charlie and Frank, two other fellas in a group of five, were trying to get married so they could benefit from each others' health care benefits since they already lived together, but they aren't gay. And while this was happening Dennis, another one of the fellas, was depressed about not being married so he calls up his old high school sweetheart and they get married in literally minutes while Frank and Charlie have so much paperwork to fill out just to get married. This was interesting because it goes to show how stupid the system is in certain states. Anyone who wants to get married can get married right away, but if they're applying for a gay marriage they have to go through so much more paperwork. This episode was just perfect episode that incorporated multiple sides of marriage situations. Each situation being funnier than the next one was definitely a plus. So now I’ll just have to wait till next Thursday to watch the all new episode which has to do with Dennis’s marriage which will be interesting!
